What Is TX-RAMP?
The Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) is a required security framework for cloud vendors working with Texas state agencies, including higher education and local government entities. TX-RAMP certification ensures that approved vendors meet stringent requirements for protecting sensitive information and managing risk in the cloud.

Secure Cloud Data Management for Public Sector
TX-RAMP approval enables public sector teams to use BigID to:

- Automatically scan across cloud, SaaS, on-prem, and hybrid environments
- Identify PII, PHI, FERPA, CJIS, and other regulated data with precision
- Build a complete inventory of sensitive data for audits and compliance

- Detect redundant, outdated, or trivial (ROT) data across systems
- Apply policy-driven actions to defensibly delete or archive sensitive information
- Enforce retention schedules aligned with state or agency requirements

- Align with regulations like GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, and state-specific mandates
- Automate privacy rights fulfillment (access, deletion, correction) at scale
- Maintain up-to-date records of processing and audit trails

- Monitor data access and movement across users, apps, and environments
- Identify overexposed files, excessive permissions, and risky data behavior
- Remediate exposure with actionability across access, data, and AI
