Cision: BigID Appoints CMO To Expand Global Presence and Accelerate Demand Gen

BigID, the leading data discovery and intelligence platform for privacy, protection, and perspective, today announced Scott Mersy as its new Chief Marketing Officer. He brings over two decades of cloud, SaaS and enterprise tech experience in digital marketing, website and product marketing, demand generation and sales development.

Scott will be responsible for leading BigID’s GTM strategy, including the evolution of company positioning, customer-focused storytelling and strategic content, communications and social initiatives, and driving and optimizing revenue streams. Prior to BigID, Scott was the EVP of Global Demand Gen, Digital & Content Marketing at Automation Anywhere, where he significantly increased overall marketing-created pipeline and digital marketing’s contribution, drove a 10x increase in web traffic through both paid and organic means, and established a world-class integrated marketing team, hiring top talent covering all marketing channels. Scott also served as the SVP of Global Marketing at ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW). Over 8 years, he scaled with the company from 200 people to over 9000, driving multi-billion dollars in marketing-attributed pipeline per year by 2019, and resulting in Sales and Marketing meeting or exceeding goals for over 30 straight quarters.
